National Conference on Bioenergy India – August 2, 2024

New Delhi, August 2, 2024 – The National Conference on Bioenergy India concluded successfully today, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from the bioenergy sector for a day of insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and networking. Held at the India Habitat Centre, the conference featured a series of high-profile sessions, including an opening ceremony, keynote addresses, and focused panel discussions.

Opening Ceremony
The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Sangita M. Kasture, Advisor for Bioenergy at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. In her opening remarks, Mrs. Kasture emphasized the critical role of bioenergy in India’s transition to a sustainable energy future. She highlighted recent government initiatives aimed at promoting bioenergy projects and called for greater collaboration between industry, academia, and government bodies.

Keynote Address
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Sita Ram Meena, a distinguished official from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Mr. Meena spoke about the national bioenergy roadmap and the significant strides India has made in this sector.
